Thayer Performing Arts Center (previously known as Thayer Conservatory) has been a place for music lovers since the days when members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, hosted by the Thayer family, performed on the terrace and stayed on the fourth floor.

Since the mansion became a music conservatory, several generations of musicians have studied and performed here. Children of our former music students are now studying with our fine music instructors.

Whether you like to sing or play an instrument, whether you are a beginner or an experienced performer wanting to advance your skills, whether you are seven or seventy, we invite you to come and develop your musical potential here.
