Why do I have to make an appointment?{expander}

While our Registrar office staff can assist you with quick questions, form drop off and pick up, and registration issues, it is necessary to make an appointment to meet with your advisor to develop a plan of study, complete petitions, perform a degree check and graduation application because the advisor needs to prepare for your meeting by conducting a complete review of your academic record. They will work to update your file with everything that has occurred since your last advising appointment to be sure they fully understand your situation. This way, they can help you to head off problems and roadblock to graduation and ensure that you remain on track for graduation.

How do I make an appointment?{expander}

Call/eMail your advisor to make an appointment.

Remember that the registration period is a very high traffic time. If you can’t get in before it is your turn to register, refer to your last advising plan. Your advisor would have given you suggestions on what to take for the next registration period. If you don’t have it, check with your advisor and he/she will make a copy of your last advising plan as well as a copy of your worksheet. That way, you can review your choices during your appointment and see if any adjustments are necessary.

When does registration take place?{expander}

You can check our Academic Calendar to get your exact registration dates, but below is a general idea of when registration begins each semester.
