Using the My Subscriptions view

The My Subscriptions view of the Blog portlet lets you review items posted in all of the Blog portlet instances to which you subscribe.

+ To display the My Subscriptions view from any Blog portlet instance

To display the My Subscriptions view from any Blog portlet:

  1. Maximize the portlet instance.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and click the View My Subscriptions link.

The system displays the My Subscriptions view.

+ To create a My Subscriptions portlet on your My Pages

You can create the My Subscriptions portlet when you subscribe to a Blog portlet instance. For details, see the Subscribing to the Blog portlet topic.

+ To display the My Pages > My Subscriptions portlet

If you have already created a My Subscriptions portlet, it is located on your My Pages tab. To display it:

  1. Click the My Pages tab.

  2. In the sidebar at the left, click the My Subscriptions page.

The system displays the My Subscriptions page, which by default contains only one portlet -- the My Subscriptions portlet.

+ To filter items in the My Subscriptions view or portlet

The My Subscriptions view by default displays items from all Blog portlet instances that you have subscribed to, but you can narrow the list to show only items from a single Blog portlet instance. To do this, set the View drop-down list to the portlet whose items you want to view.

+ To rename a subscription

The items in the View drop-down list by default have the same names as the portlet instances they represent, but you can give them any names you want. To rename:

  1. Set the View drop-down list to the portlet instance link.

The screen updates to include a few new options at the right.

  1. Click Rename Subscription.

The system displays the Edit a Subscription field.

  1. In the Subscription Name field, enter a new name.

  2. Click Save.

+ To navigate back to a Blog portlet from My Subscriptions

You can navigate back to any of the original Blog portlet instances you subscribed to by selecting the instance in the View drop-down list, then clicking the View the original link.

Alternatively, if you displayed the My Subscriptions view from one of the Blog portlet instances, you can go back to that instance by scrolling to the top and clicking the link that says Click here to view the content for "name of the portlet instance."

+ To remove a subscription

You can end your subscription to any of the Blog portlets you subscribed to by selecting the portlet in the View drop-down list, then clicking the Remove Subscription link. Alternatively, you can use the method described in the Subscribing to the Blog portlet topic.
